Dr Jill Burton is adjunct associate research professor in applied linguistics at the University of South Australia in Adelaide where she has taught, researched and published on TESOL for 20 years. Prior to that time, she taught at Macquarie University in Sydney, the University of Adelaide and in the technical and further education (TAFE) sector in South Australia. She has edited more than 30 books on TESOL, such as the Case Studies in TESOL Practice published by TESOL, Inc.; contributed to a number of TESOL international journals as an adviser, editor, and author; has reviewed manuscripts for publication for international publishers; and has studied in the U.K., Canada, and Australia.
